When teaching and learning are “visible” – that is, when it is clear what teachers are teaching and what
students are learning, student achievement increases.

Visible Learning

Visible Learning involves making student learning visible to teachers so
they can know whether they are having an impact on this learning. In addition, it also refers to making teaching visible to the student so that students learn to become their own teachers, an important component of becoming lifelong learners.  The ‘learning’ part of visible learning is the need to think of teaching
with learning in the forefront and with the idea that we should consider teaching primarily in terms of its impact on student learning.

Snapshots from the Foundation

A team of motivated leaders and teachers from a range of ESF Kindergarten and Primary Schools has volunteered to work together to collaboratively develop an aspect of the PYP taught or assessed curriculum.

Schools across the foundation will be able to use thefindings and resources produced through the process to further develop their own practices.
